Is a deposit required for our wedding video?
Yes a non-refundable deposit is required to guarantee any booking for wedding video. The deposit will come off the overall balance due.
When is the Balance due?
The balance of payment is due on or before the day of the wedding.
Do you accept Paypal/Credit Card/Debit Card?
Unfortunately we don’t currently have facilities to take Credit or Debit card payments. Normally deposits and final balance would be accepted via bank transfer.
In what format will I receive my final edit?
Final edits are delivered online via Dropbox.
Do you do guest interviews?
We generally find that interviews make guests feel uncomfortable and for that reason we don’t do interviews.
Do you charge for travel?
Weddings in Leinster will have no associated travel charge. Outside Leinster a nominal charge may apply. Please contact us for more details.
How long will it take to get my finished edit?
During peak times it normally takes about 12 weeks to finish an edit. At quieter times it can be slightly less. This all depends on us having all your details and of course payment of the final balance.
If I book the bridal prep, what time will you be with me and how long will you stay?
Normally we like to be at the ceremony location 30 minutes before the start to setup and capture the first guests arriving. So if your wedding starts at 2pm then we will want to be at the ceremony location at 1.15pm. We normally film for 40 to 50 minutes at the prep location so for this example we would call to the bride at roughly 12.20pm (presuming it takes 5 to 10 minutes to get to the ceremony).
Do we need to provide a meal for the wedding videographer?
This is completely at the client’s discretion. However, if bar food isn’t available from the venue we would appreciate if you could let us know in advance so that we can make alternative arrangements.
Can I have the raw footage?
Unprocessed, unedited footage wouldn’t show Make My Day Productions in the best light. For this reason raw footage isn’t made available. Rest assured however that anything worth keeping will make it’s way to the final edit.
Can you stay beyond the first 3 dances?
As it’s a long day already and there generally will be more than enough footage from the first 3 dances we don’t stay beyond this.
What happens if my first dance doesn’t happen by 10pm
We can stay on to cover the first dance at a fixed charge per half-hour (or part thereof). This option can be selected in our booking form.
